Trek's Lime bicycle bucks bad reviews to become People's choice at Design Awards
This bike is designed to be a bike "like we had as kids" - if you are American or Canadian one supposes. All the gearing is automatic and although there dont appear to be brakes I suspect it is contained in the rear hub. Anything, literally anything, is better than the generic mountain bike with it's lycra and yellow jacketed rider.
